Our children

Elizabeth M. Bangura is 6 years old. She's coming from a Christian family. There are six of them in their family excluding her parents. With three brothers and sisters she likes to do her house duties like fetching water and keeping the compound clean. Her favorite game is balance ball.                                 

 

Adama Sesay is 10 years old and attending 3rd grade. She comes from a Muslim family. Her mother gave birth to seven children, two boys and five girls. Her father works as a painter while her mother is a trader. Just like the other kids she likes going to school, especially when she can work hard on her favorite subject which is Mathematics. The kids in the area all love to play game called Balance Ball.  Although having seven children is quite a challenge in Sierra Leone right now, Adama's father can afford to pay all her school fees. Just like every kids in the are she also has her work to do at the house which is everyday sweeping of the compound. She believes that she has the best house because her parents are very caring, supportive and loving.

Fatmata Conteh - is coming from Temne tribe, which is one of the biggest tribe in Sierra Leone. She is 9 years old and has one brother. Her mother is working as a trader to be able to pay for her school fees. Her father has left to London, where he's been working. She likes playing skipping rope with her friends.

 

Jeremiah A.S. Conteh - is a 10 year old boy, who stands out from his class. He's a very clever boy with a big will to educate. His father is working as a pastor in Holland while his mother is an intercessor in Battle Axe Ministries in Sierra Leone. One of his favorite things to do is singing at the church. Despite multiple problems with malaria, he has always been very active, loves to play football and taking part in sporting activities.

 

Ishmael Jeramiah Foray - is a class five student. His parents divorced a long time ago, since then he's been living with his uncle, while his mom is getting her education in nursery school. With the help of his aunt, his mother is paying the school fees. His responsibility at home is to help his grandmother to do the dishes every day as well as buying food for her to prepare daily meal. He loves playing football and at school his favorite subjects are English, Mathematics and Science.

 

Esther T. Kamara - is 12 years old. There is 5 kids in the family although they were separated after the war and are living with different families. Her father and grandmother were killed by the rebels during the war, which has devastated her entire family. She's usually very quiet girl although very helpful and kind to everybody. Since she was a little girl she has lived with pastor and his family which now she is a part of.

 

Millicent Fornah - is our former student who is 15 at the moment. She is one of the brightest student that left our school five years ago with a very good grade for the Annie Walsh Memorial Secondary School, one of the renewed school in town. She successfully completed her Junior Secondary School (J.S.S.) and sat to her Basic Educational Certificate Exam in which her performance was extremely good. Currently she is attending the Sierra Leone International Mission Secondary School.
