Our volunteers
The Rhema Preparatory School has a Volunteering programme.
Inviting volunteers to teach at the school also taking
development projects for the school.
We had the first volunteer in April 2008 by the person of
Simon Russell from the USA who left I May 2008. He made
the first donation for the school building project.
On
the 30th of May 2008 to June 2008 we had Hugh
Wiegel, the second volunteer also from the USA. He also
donated school materials for the children.
The third was Spencer Sekyer from Canada who
sponsored the internet installation and paid the bill for
the first six months. He also sponsored the water tap
connection.
Next to him is Chris Murphy from Australia, who has
been here from 26th of November to 15th
of December 2008. He provided a brand new laptop for the
school as well as school materials.
On
the 9th of January to 2nd of March
2009 we had Pat Puddephor from UK, who provided the
school with some schools materials as well as basic
clothing.
20th of February
came our present volunteer Beata Dolinska from
Poland, who provided basic supply for the school as well as
some balloons, pens and balls for the children.
Emma
Swan – arrived on the 6th of April and sayed for two
months. She is a Canadian girl who was teaching all basics
subjects at school and was also spending a lot active time
with pupils. She brought clothes for the kids in the school
and in the neighborhood, and many school appliances.
Jin
Jeon – arrived on the 6th of May 2009. He is from
the USA. He stayed with our school for two weeks where he
was teaching kids English and Social Science. He brought a
lot of school materiale such as books, pens, pencils, along
with some medications. He also helped In paying of fees for
one student.
Alicia
Houser was our volunteer from the USA and arrived to
Thunderhill on the 13th of July. She stayed up till the 5th
of August 2009. Alicia also contributed to school by
bringing school materials and clothes for the people in the
community.
Michael Lam is from Hongkong and arrived on the 4th of
November 2009.
Our last
present volunteer is Nicolas from the UK who arrived
on the 9th of April bringing school appliances.
How can we be partners - affiliation
We are pleased to invite anyone interested in volunteering
at our school and willing to devote their time to the kids
in our community. We are encouraging volunteers to share any
new ideas of managements and development programs. as well
as teach kids about the world and international community.
Our kids are very friendly and open for every volunteer that
arrives. You are most welcome! |
